Alan represents home-rule and general-law municipalities across the state. Prior to co-founding the Bojorquez Law Firm, Alan maintained a local government practice through which he served as City Attorney for several municipalities and did special projects for counties, school districts, and special districts.
While earning his Juris Doctorate and Master of Public Administration degrees at Texas Tech University, Alan interned for the City of Lubbock, the City of Garland, and the firm of Lloyd Gosselink, et al. Upon graduation, Alan served as a staff environmental lawyer for the Texas General Land Office before joining the Texas Municipal League as Assistant General Counsel.
Achievements:
- Author of the Texas Municipal Law and Procedure Manual (5th Edition).
- Awarded Merit Certification in Municipal Law by the Texas City Attorney Association.
- Delivered successful oral argument before the Texas Third Court of Appeals in a matter seeking to overturn an annexation by the Village of Salado.
- Served as lead counsel for the City of Georgetown in its successful Texas Supreme Court challenge of an Attorney General's Open Records Decision.
- Featured speaker at the 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008 UT Land Use Planning Law Conferences.
- Outstanding Alumnus, Master of Public Administration (MPA) Program, Texas Tech University (2005)
