Dottie has more than 20 years experience in municipal law, including Land Use, Gas Well permitting and leasing, utility franchise fees, employment, code enforcement, litigation and drafting home rule charters and amendments. She has represented cities before the national and state legislature. She has served as the Board Secretary for the Denton County Transportation Authority.
Prior to becoming Of Counsel for the Bojorquez Law Firm, she served in a dual role as City Attorney and also Assistant City Manager for five years for the City of Highland Village. She also served as assistant city attorney for the cities of Denton, Garland, Midland and Abilene. As Assistant General Counsel for the Texas Municipal League, she was a registered lobbyist and educated city officials and city employees in all areas of municipal law. Before becoming a lawyer, she was a classroom teacher with a Masters Degree in Education with a Reading Specialist Endorsement.
